Joyity’s YouCatch Brings Location Based Cops and Robbers to G1 Users

Many of us grew up playing “Cops and Robbers” with our neighborhood friends.  If you are in the AndroidGuys demographic, chances are you also dabble in the occasional RPG or MMORPG and like the real-time, think-on-your-feet kind of stuff.  If all of this stuff is right up your alley, you’ll probably love Joyity’s new YouCatch game for Android.

Simply put, YouCatch is a location based game of manhunt.  You’re given a target and a playing field to work with.  Your objective’s location is periodically shown on the map so you can get a sense for where they are.  Do what you can to get close enough to “capture” them.  One of the thrills in the game is not knowing specifically who your target it – what they look like, their name, etc.

Do what you can to find your target, but be careful because there’s more to the game.  While you are out hunting, you are also being hunted by someone else.

That creates high tension, because every time a hunter indicates that he has caught his victim by pressing the button on his mobile phone, his own position is disclosed and his own hunter might use that chance. If a player catches a target person successfully, the software assigns the next victim. There is no break, the player needs to catch the next victim and hide from his own hunter as well… The game ends when the last victim is caught. The remaining hunter is the winner of the game. – Press Release

YouCatch is just one of the games available from Joyity and we’ve yet to play it ourselves.  You can find it in the Android Market now.  Check back after we get our hands on it and look for our official review.
