Not a terrible ground breaking news article to pass along, but it’s news to some of you. Speaking at the Brainstorm: Tech conference today, Sprint CEO Dan Hessee confirmed that at least one Android device will arrive in 2009.
It has been widely assumed that Sprint would be the next major carrier to offer Android handsets. After all, they were one of the founding members of the Open Handset Alliance. The last we heard, Hesse thought Android wasn’t quite up to their standards. In all fairness, this was pre-cupcake.
The reviews say now it’s ready for prime time. It wasn’t when it first came out. – Dan Hesse
