Apps are a huge part of most mobile phone platforms today, especially the iPhone. Most mobile devices have access to an application store, but they aren’t all created equal.

The Palm Pre application store has caught criticism because of its meek offerings and according to one developer; the Android Market is not generating sales. Android developer Larva Labs has offered sales figures for its wares on the Android Market.

Larva has two games on the top paid apps list with Battle for Mars in fifth and RetroDefense at 12th place. According to the numbers from the developer, it has only made $62.39 per day over the last month in sales from the Android Market. Ouch.
