Yesterday, David Owens, Sprint’s VP of consumer marketing, took part in an hour-long online chat with customers where he dropped a few Android bits that are worth sharing.
- The HTC Hero and Samsung Moment are going to get OS updates It’s not known specifically which handsets will see 1.6 or if they’ll jump straight to 2.0.
- On the subject of a combo CDMA/GSM phone it’s “a possibility but nothing this year.”
- Android phones with a MiFi-esque capability are being considered.
- The price of Android handsets will continue to drop “as we see volume across the industry.”
