According to a company executive, Sharp Corp. plans to offer Android-based handsets in Japan as early as the first half of 2010. Masami Ohbatake made the announcement during a report on Wednesday although he didn’t specifically outline which carrier(s) will offer the handsets.
The report did say add that NTT DoCoMo “is expected to be first in line.” NTT DoCoMo, a founding member of the Open Handset Alliance, already offers currently offers a couple of HTC models.
