Less than a week after Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores began accepting pre-orders for the Droid X handset, word is coming down that future orders are being halted. According to Droid Life, they’ve been informed by at least three sources that pre-sales have been stopped because of high demand for the phone. Rumor has it that they’ve blown through their expected allotted handsets. Hopefully things resume quickly as Verizon can’t afford to be sitting on two kick-ass phones that can’t stay in stock. Then again, maybe this to avoid a Droid Incredible situation.
