Philips’ GoGear Connect MP3 Player Arrives in October

Announced back in February, Philips is readying the release of what might be the first Android-powered media player with global implications. Called the GoGear Connect, the device features the full Android experience with Google Maps, access to the Android Market, a camera, and support for WiFi Bluetooth media sync. A 16GB version of the media player is expected to ship in October for 249 euros ($315 US) for a 16GB model.  It’s being reported that a U.S. version will surface at some point, but pricing and timelines have yet to be established.
