Gmail v.2.3.5 Arrives with Enhanced Notifications, Priority Sync, and More

If you haven’t used Gmail on your phone yet today (really!?) then you may wanna take a quick peek at the application.  Last night saw Google rolling out a new version of the email client, quietly dropping v.2.3.5 into the Android Market.  What’s new?  If you’re a heavy label and filter user then there’s plenty to be found.

Users can now choose specific labels for sync, saving battery life for people who have tons of custom labels and rules.  What’s more, it’s possible to set custom notifications for specific labels so you can identify emails based on sender, attachments, etc. There’s also an option to toggle where the app automatically displays pictures from certain senders.  You know, just like it does on your desktop client.   Of course, there’s also other improvements under the hood that help speed things along and conserve battery.
