Sonos is said to be bringing an upgraded versions of their remote controller application for Android today. Version 3.6 will reportedly bring support for Android tablets 2.2+, including the Amazon Kindle Fire. We’re not sure if they’ll be creating a tablet-specific interface for Android 3.0/4.0+ but we hope they’ll take advantage of that prime real estate to add some really nice controls.
The update is also said to bring alarms, music library management and Twitter. For the overall platform, they’ll be adding Slacker Radio integration and improved Spotify integration (ability to access inbox and play new releases and popular tracks).
If that’s not enough, AAC+ format support is here for those of you who prefer it. We can’t find any of this in the market yet but do let us know if you find it a bit later on! [via Electronista]
